		<description>Also, always have copies of your posts. Write your posts in Word or whatever you like and keep the documents on your harddrive. Sure, it is not fun to have to upload thousands of posts from scratch but as a last resort it is fine. I had a case with a damaged backup and it was pointless to try to restore from it, so I had to upload all the stuff from scratch. Luckily, it was a small site and it wasn't a very painful experience - only about 30-40 pages.</description>

		<description>With the Wordpress plugin mention above it is a one click option  right off of the WP-admin area of your blog. 

If you are using a different blogging service then I am less familar, but you still should be able to log onto your hosting company and download your mySQL database to your machine.
