Writing Quantity Posts
Writing Lots of Posts
Too often bloggers focus on writing the perfect post. They work on it for a long time, hours even. And when they are done, they do have a great post. But the only have A post. They can blog it, but there are only so many hits that one post can generate. Where as if the had taken the same time to write 4 or 5 posts, each post might get a little less attention, but there would be many more posts to get incoming links or appear on search engine searches.
Now it is still important to write quality posts. However you have to let go of your inner perfectionist. Blogging is one time that quantity can rule over quality. Look at it this way, say that you have a site where each page generates 1 cent per page. If you write 1 post per day, after months you will only have 60 posts. Even after a year you will still only be earning a couple of dollars per day.
If you were putting out more content, say 10 pages a day spread among all your different blogs then you could quickly start generating a reasonable income. Additionally, if you are using a revenue stream which pays based on the number of page views which you get, i.e. Adsense in some cases, writing a lot of shorter posts is a good way to rack up the number of page views you get.
Still need more reasons to put out a lot of content? Google uses the number of pages in your site as one measure of your worthiness. This does two things. If you have a lot of pages, i.e. your site is more worthy in Google’s eyes, each page will rank higher in the search results. Additionally, Google will be more likely to put the higher paying Adsense ads on your webpage.
