Technorati Displays Authority
You Will Respect My Authority!
Well maybe not mine. As my technorati authority is low. It is in fact nil at the time of this posting, but hopefully that will change.
What am I talking about? Technorati has changed the way they rank blogs. Instead of ranking solely on the number of blogs which link to a given site, they rank based on the blogs “Authority”
What does this mean? Clearly it will mean that technorati is developing an equation that does not rank all blogs equally. A blog with higher authority linking to you will give you more authority than a blog with lower authority. This works much in the same way as Google’s Page Rank?
So what does this mean? Hopefully it will be a good way to help stop people from gaming Technorati instead of a bunch of crappy sites linking together, they will have to get some good blogs linking back to them. Will it work? Only time will tell, but it will be interesting to see how the Technorati Top 100 changes in the near future.

But anyways, welcome
