Who’s Using Do Follow Trackbacks?

Posted on June 3rd, 2007 in Uncategorized by Scott

track back

I recently installed the Do Follow trackback plugin, which means that whenever you ping me with a link, the trackback that you get is SEO Enabled.

I went looking for other sites with Do Follow Trackback enabled.  Here is a list of sites I have found so far with it enabled.   If you have the plugin and would like to be included on list, drop a comment.   If you would like to encourage other people to use the plugin , please copy it and paste it in your blog.

That’s it so far.  This list need more people!  So sign up and reward the people who link to you.

    Hi Scott,

I also have installed a DoFollow Plugin, but I use the one from Kimmo Suominen, which follows comments as well and not just trackbacks.
In my opinion there is no difference in comments or trackbacks, as both can or will give some more value to the reader and shall be rewarded with some link love.
Do you have a special reason for following just trackbacks?

I have no special reason for just trackbacks, rather than comments and trackbacks. It is more a factor of I have installed the one plugin, but haven’t taken the plunge yet to go the whole way an enable Do follow on the comments as well.

I suppose that I should. To date most of my the comments on this blog have been both positive and useful, i.e. the kind of comments you would like to reward with links.

So next batch of plugins I install I’ll have to enable Do follow on the comments. Look for it within the next several days

Just added this dofollow plugin to my site. I also added the plugin to add dofollow to comments. Of course, since 2 people a day visit my site, we’ll see what happens.

I’m looking for some more interesting plugins as we speak.

Any visits are good visits and most new sites hit a phase where it seems like there is no traffic growth. Looking for good plugins is a good idea. Experiment with them and see what you like. When you’re just starting out you don’t have a significant reader base to piss off, so why not go crazy and see what works

Good luck! I know i’ve started getting some more trackbacks, but that might just be natural maturing of the site

Dofollow is a great idea however, i’m bit concerned with the amount of spam. Akismet is doing really decent job but still…

    What’s your experience with this?
