Post Posting Your Posts

Posted on May 1st, 2007 in Wordpress by Scott

I believe that one of the most underused features of Wordpress is its ability to let you edit the timestamp on your post to post at a later date.  By editing the timestamp you can post your content and be done with it.  The page will come up without you having to do anything else.  You can edit the timestamp in the write menu of wordpress.  It is on the right hand side between post status and post author.

This method of delay posting is far superior to saving your content as a draft and signing back in later.  The reasons are this

1) You Won’t Forget- by delaying your post with the timestamp feature you have one click and your done.  There is no chance that you will forget to post your content at the correct time

2) Save Yourself Time- You can save yourself time by using the timestamp, you don’t have to take the time to sign back in and post your draft

3) Spread Your Posts Out- By using the timestamp to spread your posts out, you can ensure that no matter when your readers come to your site they will find new content

4) Time Your Posts For The Best Time- Generally blog late at night or early in the morning?  By using the timestamp, you can time your posts for prime time, between 6:00 and 9:00 EST, when the most readers will see your site  Here is more on the Best Time To Post

Have you ever set a quitting date, only to change that date forward, or canceling the idea
    altogether when the date came?
Have you ever been arrested, only to return to sex work immediately upon your release?
