Here are some of the top dirty affiliate tricks. Doing some of these things may definitely be unethical, but it can be profitable. I don't recommend doing any of these things, but by knowing what they are you can recognize when other people are doing them.

1) Sign up at a site that uses bonus codes rather than tracking with links. Then register 100's of common bonus codes to get some hits. Search for other affiliates advertising the same site, and register variations of their bonus codes. That way, if people make typos when signing up, you get paid.

2) When you are link exchanging, put the tag "rel=nofollow" in the link you are giving. That way the other website thinks you are linking to them and gives you a link back, however, sites such as Google and Yahoo don't register those links, so it is the same as getting a one way link.

3) Attempt to do the Adwords to Adsense switch for potentially unlimited money. Although this is difficult, if you can hit upon the right combination of advertising words, you can buy traffic cheap, at $.05 per hit, and send them out of your site expensively, with dollars per exit. You have to closely monitor your cash in and expenses, but it can be profitable.

4) Put the link to your site in your signature on dozens of forums. Then go on the forums and post interesting questions. Don't bother reading the responses, that takes too much time. Just move on and post on another forum. If you can post things that generate responses you can get lots of hits for little work.

5) Use White on White or other hidden text to saturate your site with keywords, raising its search hits. Caution with this one though, search engines such as Google have been known to ban sites doing this.

6) Develop an automated program to extract free articles from article sites. Then run them through a program, such as Synonymizer, to change the content enough to get around the copied content blocks on Yahoo and Google. Tons of free searchable content.

7) Put a single link ad on the bottom of your page, lead your visitors into clicking on it by putting it on the bottom of an article and placing text before it like "For more information, click here"

8) Load your header information and meta tags with as many keywords as possible that have anything to do with your site, not as important as it used to be, but can still draw hits.

9) Set up link exchanges with other sites. After the initial exchange, most sites very rarely check up on their links, thus a month later you can remove the links and have one way links to your site.

10) If you can't find any formats that you like, can't create your own, and can't find any free templates, you can copy a site's format by using internet explore, file, save as, and use that as a template for your site.

11) Write a scrip to make frequent small tweaks to all of your pages, every several days or so. This will trick the search engines, Google, MSN, and Yahoo into thinking that you are frequently updating your content. Search engines love sites with updated content.

12) Make a lot of cheap pages. Make them as quickly and cheaply as possible. Use free hosting if you can. Link trade like crazy on these sites in order to get PR 3 and PR 4 pages, then link all of those sites, using one way links, back to a main site. Viola you can jump start your site this way. The beauty of this method, is once you get the one site started, and it is getting links and hits from other sources, you can use the cheap sites to pump up another new site, and another after that, etc.

13) Google similar content as your site has. Especially look for lists. You can copy the lists with plenty of differences that it doesn't register as duplicate content.

14) Join a lot of similar forums, put your signature in all of them. Automate a method of posting on them all. You can then create one interesting topic, post on all of the sites quickly, and get lots of traffic.
